Big E maintains a dedicated in-house Safety Director whose sole focus is supporting our crews and driving consistent safety standards and best practices across the entire fleet. This role works directly with field leadership and crews to provide training, guidance, and oversight—ensuring safety expectations are clear, practical, and consistently applied.
At the same time, we believe safety ultimately lives with every individual on location. Every crew member is expected—and empowered—to take personal responsibility for their own safety, their coworkers, and the operation as a whole. Stop-work authority is not only supported, it’s expected.
Our approach balances personal accountability with the resources, leadership, and support needed to do the job safely. We don’t just hold people responsible—we give them the tools, training, and backing to succeed.
