It is the policy of Big E Drilling Company to provide a work environment, free of recognized hazards, to protect our employees, equipment and customers.

Big E Drilling Company has a proactive safety program that includes:

  • Regularly scheduled safety meetings and additional meetings before major changes in work operations.
  • Safety incentives for crew members without a lost time accident.
  • Toolpusher bonuses and rig safety bonuses to promote safe rig activity.
  • Frequent rig safety inspections by the Toolpusher ad Manager of Safety / Environment.
  • Continued safety training for Toolpushers and Drillers to include Well Control.
  • Specialized rig safety equipment to provide safer and more efficient operations.

We recognize that safe operations are essential to a professional drilling contract. Big E Drilling Company is large enough to compete in major markets and small enough to provide personal service.

SAFETY RECORD FOR 2006

In 2006, Rig 2 & Rig 6 each had only one chargeable lost time incident. Rigs 1, 3, 4 and 5 had 33 employees that had been with Big E Drilling for the entire year without a chargeable lost time incident. These employees were eligible to win a new 2007 Ford Sport side pickup truck. Pictured is the winner of the truck, Jeffery Jenkins, with Lyle Eastham and his new truck. Jeffery Jenkins has been with Big E for 9 Years and is a Driller on Rig 1. Danny Belldin, a Motorman on Rig 1, won the pickup truck last year.

If all six rigs operate without a chargeable lost time incident in 2007, each rig will draw for a pickup truck.
