Safety incentives
Safety incentives for crew members are designed to minimize injuries and turnover. When a Rig completes a year without a chargeable lost time injury, each employee that has been with the rig the entire year will receive $500. If the rig continues through the next year without a lost time injury, each employee that has been with the rig the entire year will receive $1000. Three years $1500; and so on. On March 18, 2011, Rig 3 will have completed 7 years and the eligible hands will receive $3500.
Toolpusher bonuses and rig bonuses are given to promote safe rig performance. Toolpushers receive a bonus based on the rig performance, their personal performance, the rig safety performance and the rig turnover rate. Some Operators have participated in this program with additional bonuses to the rig personnel.
Four employees received their 10 year watch in 2010 for excellent service.

The Big E SAFETY TRUCK LOTTERY
The Big E Safety Truck Lottery rewards our safe workers with an Awesome Prize!
Every year we give away a brand new truck. Each employee that has been employed for 12 months and worked on a rig without a no lost time injuries is eligible for the lottery. Last year we had 5 rigs eligible for the drawing. Eligible employees that did not win the truck received a safety bonus check for $500.
The 2010 winner of the 2011 Toyota Tundra was Darrell Harris. Darrell is a Driller on Rig 1. He started with Big E Drilling on December 1, 2000 as a Floorhand. Darrell received his 10 year watch in December in recognition of his excellent employment service.
